Hi Steve,
Have you tried the Flash Recovery Process on the KMotion Config/Flash Screen?
Do the LEDs flash on power up?
The Primary boot sector of the Flash chip was permanently locked with the Primary Boot Loader code (which flashes the LEDs). So that could not be reprogrammed even through the JTAG.

Yes, I think I did try the FRP in KMotion, without success (from memory). I guess I'll power it up and give it another try... and let you know what LEDs blink on powerup.
Thanks for the quick reply!

Which file should I try to flash for my old KMotion board? Is it: C:\KMotion430\DSP_KMotion\DSPKMotion.out ?
If so, when I first power on my KMotion D2 turns on, then a very short time later D1 turns on and they both start flashing pretty fast, and don't stop. When I click on that file, I eventually get a "Timeout establishing bootloader connection".
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
- Steve

Hi Steve,
Yes that file should work.
The LEDs sound a little strange but might be correct.
To do the Flash recovery you need to keep power off until prompted to turn on which is after you select the file.
